Developing Positive Relationships at Work
Every organization tries to find and hire the best talent available. Even with a roster of rock stars, if the environment that these individuals work in is dysfunctional, the end products will suffer. One of the keys to building an effective and efficient group is too great a positive work environment. The key in many cases to doing that is to have people that can work together cordially.
This training, unlike the typically corporate training, will focus on the needs of the government employee. We look at both what the corporate world has to say about building relationships at work as well as the unique challenges that those in the public sector must face when implementing new procedures and policies.
In this training, we will learn how to do the following:
- Develop strong relationship-building skills
- Resolve conflicts and handle complaints
- Build trust by adopting behaviors which boost credibility and reliability
- Model verbal and non-verbal rapport-building techniques to connect with others effectively
- Present ideas, suggestions or opinions using positive language so you can disagree without being disagreeable
